About the Presenter:

Ms. Ana Cortez is an expert strategic planning facilitator and program designer. Her firm, the Garo Group, works with family support agencies, family resource centers, and child abuse prevention councils throughout California. Ms. Cortez is fully bilingual/bicultural and has worked in multiple national initiatives where she was responsible for organizing and conducting focus groups throughout the country to evaluate capacity building among very diverse types of non-profits including Latino-centered organizations to determine levels of capacity, improve specific organizational competencies, improve outcomes, create sustainability, and generate a national dialogue.
