CMACO provides a platform for collaboration, networking and mentorship for non-profit organizations working to help missing, abducted and exploited children, their families and their communities. With guidance from our membership and trends in the field, we provide paper editing training and technical assistance on non-profit issues as well as those directly related to abduction or exploitation of children. We also offer travel scholarships to help our members attend national conferences on related issues.
CMACO has memberships at three different levels, Regular Members, Emeritus Membership, and Associate Members.
Regular members are non-profit organizations that work on missing, abducted or exploited children’s issues. They must submit an application along with proof of 501©(3) status, annual budget amount, and letters of recommendation. They are eligible for many benefits, including travel scholarships, consulting services, and access to online and in-person training and technical assistance. Organizations that are well-established and meet all the criteria above are eligible for Emeritus membership, which includes all the benefits above plus special mentorship and networking opportunities. Once you have applied for membership, CMACO will contact you to let you know your level of membership.
Organizations which do not work directly with families of missing, abducted and exploited children but are 501©(3) organizations or government agencies working on related issues and would benefit from collaborating with other non-profits may be eligible for Partner membership status.
